Hi team,
I’d love to suggest a few improvements to the Business Hours functionality in Smart Directory AI to help better represent real-world business schedules. Right now, there are a few limitations that cause confusion or prevent accurate info from being displayed:
  1. Show “Closed” Instead of Leaving Days Blank
If a business is closed on certain days (like Sunday), the platform currently just leaves that day off the hours list. This can make it look like data is missing. It would be much clearer if there were a way to mark a day as “Closed” so it shows up explicitly.
  1. Add Support for 24/7 Businesses
Some of my clients operate 24/7, but there’s currently no simple way to reflect that. A checkbox or toggle for “Open 24/7” that automatically fills in the hours accordingly would be super helpful.
  1. Allow for Seasonal Hours (e.g., Summer vs. Winter Schedules)
Many businesses have different hours depending on the season. It would be great to either:
Let us create two Business Hours tables (e.g., Winter Schedule / Summer Schedule) and switch between them, or
Even better: have a way to schedule the hours to update automatically based on dates (e.g., “Use Summer Hours starting May 1”).
  1. Add a Business Hours Notes Section
It would also be useful to have a small area below the Business Hours where we can add custom notes like:
“Closed on Christmas and major holidays”
“Extended hours in summer”
“Winter hours begin October 1”
These upgrades would really improve clarity for users and help business owners better reflect their real operating hours.
